Joon is a US Patent Agent with a broad range of knowledge in complex life science technologies. Prior to joining Eagle IP, Joon worked as a patent agent at Meagher Emanuel Laks Goldberg & Liao, LLP in Princeton NJ, drafting and prosecuting patent applications in a wide range of technology areas.

Joon spent over 10 years working as a researcher at Yonsei University College of Medicine, the University of British Columbia, and the University of Pennsylvania. His research focused on the application of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), a medical device, using biochemical techniques to elucidate protein receptor function in the brain. He has published several scientific papers as a result of his research.

Joon’s areas of expertise include medical devices, molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, and inorganic and organic chemistry.
