Yolanda focuses on advising foreign and local clients on patent rights, portfolio management and strategy worldwide, including US, Europe, Japan, Korea, Australia and in particular mainland China. Besides her own bioMEMS technology specialization, Yolanda also has extensive experience in patent drafting, prosecution and analysis in a wide area of technologies including biotechnology, nanofabrication technology and traditional Chinese medicine. Yolanda is also a team leader in handling bio/pharma-related patents and patent prosecution in China. Other significant areas of her expertise includes due diligence and Freedom-to-Operate analysis and opinion.

Before beginning her IP career in 2008, Yolanda had experiences in academic research, especially in the area of DNA on-chip detection utilizing CMOS technology. Her research works were accepted by several academic journals such as IEEE Trans. on Electron Devices and presented in academic conferences such as IEEE International Electron Device Meeting.

Her working languages are English, Cantonese and Putonghua Chinese (Basic).
