Official Fees Updates: Reduction in Hong Kong Registered Design Fees

The Designs Registry of the Intellectual Property Department of the Government of Hong Kong SAR (HKIPD) will reduce the official fees, reductions ranging from 10% to 70%, for HK Design registrations, with effect from 1 March 2024. The reduction of fees is one of the policy measures under the Chief Executive’s 2023 Policy Address to promote the further development of intellectual property (“IP”) trading. Our HK design fee schedule will be updated to reflect the new official fee changes.
